Giraffes live in the savannas in a country called Africa.

Giraffes can get away from their predators easily but when giraffes drink at the water hole they have to split their legs to drink and they cant straighten their legs fast enough to get away from their predator the Lion. Giraffes eat leaves from trees and they don’t chew until they bring their food back up. When Giraffes eat their leaves that get moisture from it that’s why they don’t go to the water hole every hour.

Rock Climbing

On my holiday I went rock climbing. I went there because my mum's boss had a spare ticket for rock climbing. I went with my mum and my brother. First when we got there we had to put on a harness to use for the rock climbing walls. Then one of the instructors showed us how to click the belt things on to the walls. He showed us and then we started to climb. After that we finally went to eat. We ate subway.

The Coolest Motorbike Ride

In the holidays my neighbour came and said to my mum, "Would the kids like to ride the motorbike?". I said, "Yes!" Then he said, "Go and put your shoes on and come outside". So we ran and put our shoes on. I was so excited. I was scared of the dog. He kept on following me. I was the first one to ride the motorbike.

My Holiday

It was the first week of the holidays and my mum signed me up to go to a holiday programme. We had to drive all the way to Manukau. My mum was working so I had to go to the holiday programme for a whole entire week.

When we got to PACT we got to play on the Playstation and air hockey and their were pool tables too. After that we did a little R.E. and ice breakers with Ben and Andrew then we played more games. Then we had morning tea and during morning tea people would leave to go on trips.

Later on we would do some craft and have lunch. Then the people who went on trips came back and then we all went home.

My Holiday

On the first day of the holidays me and my sister asked my dad if he could pump up the pool. He said, "Yes". So while my dad was pumping up the pool me and my sister were having a water fight. I had the hose. Then after my dad pumped up the pool we had to clean it. So my dad put some water inside and soap and we started cleaning the pool. Then we tipped out the water and then filled it up with clean water. We had a swim. After we swam we went to the movies and watched Space Chimps. Then we went to my cousin's house and played armies.

My Holiday

In the holidays I went to Rainbow's End. We got there by car and we went with my sister, dad, me and my cousin. Finally we arrived at Rainbow's End. I hopped out of the car and ran to the line. It was so packed. Then it was our turn to pay. We paid $117.

First we went on the Log Flume. I was so excited. We went on the letter C. I sat in the front with my sister and my cousin sat at the back. We were so scared. When it was time to go down the slide we all posed and screamed. I had butterflies. I was so angry because I got so wet. Then we ran to look at our photo. It was so ugly!

Next we went to the Bumper Cars. My cousin drove himself and my sister drove me. I banged my head because someone drove right into us. I was shocked. I had a big bruise on my head. Then we went to the Power Surge. I went on by myself because my cousin and sister were too scared to come on. It was so cool and funny. I screamed the whole way through the ride.

Finally the ride was over. We went to buy some lunch and went home. I had a fun, cool, exciting holiday. I can't wait for the next holidays!
